Our Community Guidelines

D Lulu only works if the people on it feel safe, respected, and able to be themselves. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Last updated: November 4, 2026 · Version 1.1 · Effective November 4, 2026

The four pillars

Respect

Treat everyone the way you would want a stranger to treat your closest friend.

Safety

Meet in public, tell someone you trust, and leave if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Honesty

Be who you say you are. Real photos. Real name or consistent display name. Real age.

Privacy

What's said on D Lulu stays on D Lulu. Don't screenshot, don't share, don't expose others.

1. Respect each other

Treat others with kindness and respect. Harassment, hate speech, and abusive behaviour are not allowed on D Lulu.

Do

  • Be curious. Ask questions. Assume good intent until shown otherwise.
  • Take “no” or silence as a complete answer.
  • Use someone's correct name and pronouns.
  • Walk away from a thread that isn't working out — gently.

Don't

  • Insult, demean, or threaten anyone.
  • Send unsolicited sexual photos or messages.
  • Use slurs, hate speech, or content targeting someone's race, religion, sexuality, gender, disability, or national origin.
  • Spam, pile on, or coordinate harassment.

2. Stay safe in the real world

D Lulu is designed for real-life meetups. Please look after yourself.

In immediate danger? Contact your local emergency services first. Then, if you're comfortable, report the user in-app so we can investigate and protect others.

3. Be who you say you are

Every bit of trust on D Lulu starts with authenticity.

4. Protect each other's privacy

Every D Lulu user — including you — is someone's friend, neighbour, colleague, or family member. Treat their information the way you'd want yours treated.

5. Keep it personal

D Lulu isn't a marketplace or a mailing list. Verified businesses can host activities through the business features; everyone else keeps it personal.

5a. Hosts and businesses

6. Zero tolerance

The following will get your account permanently banned immediately, without warning, and — where the law requires it — reported to law enforcement:

7. How to report, block, and get help

Report. Members, activities, messages, businesses and reviews all have a Report option. Use it — reports are reviewed by our moderation team, with the help of automated tools. We aim to review safety-critical reports quickly. You can also email support@dlulu.app. The person you report is not told who reported them.

Block. You can block someone by account, by phone number, or by email address. Blocking someone by a photo of their face is no longer offered; face blocks made before then still apply (see the Biometric Consent). These safety controls are available without a paid subscription. Blocking is silent — the blocked person is not told.

Need help? If you're in a crisis, please reach out to local emergency or mental-health services. D Lulu is not an emergency or support service.

8. Consequences

We decide what to do about a breach, depending on how serious it is, the risk to others, and your history. We may:

  1. Remove content or limit a feature, with or without a warning;
  2. Suspend your account for a set period; or
  3. Ban you permanently. A banned account cannot sign in, and we use the banned phone number and face to stop the person creating a new account.

We may take any of these steps first, skip steps, or combine them; anything under Zero Tolerance normally leads to a permanent ban. We may act on behaviour off D Lulu too — for example at a meetup, or reported to us by the police — where it affects the safety of our community. We may share information with law enforcement as the law allows or requires, and we cooperate with valid legal requests.

9. Appeals

If you think we made the wrong call, email support@dlulu.app from the email address, or with the phone number, on your account. Tell us why you disagree. We will look at it again — where we can, with someone who did not make the first decision — and let you know the outcome. Our decision after review is final, except where the law gives you other options.

10. These rules will evolve

We'll update these guidelines as D Lulu grows and as new kinds of good — and bad — behaviour emerge. We may tell you about important changes in the app. Not every kind of harmful behaviour is listed here; we may act on anything that puts our community at risk. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. The current version is always at dlulu.app/legal/community-guidelines.

Thanks for looking out for each other.

D Lulu exists because the most memorable encounters in life usually happen with a stranger. Let's keep those moments kind, honest, and safe.
